What it involves
Two periods a week from Class 6, plus a competitive FTC squad that meets on Saturday mornings. Students design, print and iterate their own parts — the workshop has three 3D printers and students are trusted with them from Class 7.
What students come away with
- Mechanical design and iteration
- Programming for control systems
- Working to a competition deadline
- Documenting a build so somebody else can repeat it
