How we hire
Every teaching appointment involves teaching a real lesson to a real class, observed by the department head and two students from that year group. The students’ view is written down and it has changed outcomes more than once.
We hire for subject knowledge and for the willingness to be disagreed with. A teacher who cannot be argued with by a fifteen-year-old is a poor fit for the school we are trying to run.
