A school built by someone who had watched schools fail
Siksha was founded in 1998 by a physics teacher who had spent fifteen years in government schools and had a specific list of things he wanted to do differently. Most of that list is still the operating manual.

Curiosity before compliance
We would rather a child ask an inconvenient question than memorise a convenient answer. Every classroom keeps time for questions the syllabus did not plan for.
Every child known by name
No student is a roll number. Class sizes stay under 24 so that a teacher can tell you how your child is actually doing, not just what they scored.
Kind, but never soft
Warmth and high standards are not opposites. We hold students to real expectations and then make sure nobody has to meet them alone.
A school inside a neighbourhood
Parents sit on our academic review panel. Alumni teach our Saturday clubs. The campus gates are open to the community six weekends a year.
Our history
Five decisions that made this school what it is
Twenty-seven years compressed into the handful of choices that actually changed direction. The full timeline runs from a rented building in Kondapur to four campuses.

Forty-two children in a rented building
Dr. Venkat Rao Siddula opens Siksha in a rented two-storey building on a side street in Kondapur, with 42 students, six teachers and a single harmonium borrowed for the first annual day.

The Gachibowli campus opens
The school moves to a purpose-built campus on four acres at Nanakramguda. Enrolment passes 600 for the first time.

Class size capped at 24
The governing board votes to cap every class at 24 students and to hold the cap even where demand would justify more. It has never been raised.

Robotics and design enter the timetable
Robotics and design stop being after-school clubs and become timetabled subjects from Class 6 — a decision that cost four periods a week from elsewhere and was argued about for a year.

Standards-based reporting replaces ranking
Class ranking is abolished below Class 8. Reports move to standards-based grades with a written comment and a target from every subject teacher.

Six people run Siksha day to day. Two of them still teach a weekly class, which is not a coincidence.

Founded the school in 1998 with 42 students in a rented building in Kondapur, after fifteen years teaching physics in government schools across Warangal and Khammam districts.

Joined as Head of English in 2011 and became Principal in 2017. Leads the academic programme across all four campuses and still teaches one Class 9 literature section every week.

Every adult on campus is police-verified. Every bus is tracked and staffed. Every concern is logged the day it is raised. None of this is remarkable — it is simply what we think the minimum should be, written down so you can hold us to it.
