How we keep 4,200 children safe
This page is deliberately specific. Safety claims written in general terms are impossible to check, and a parent deserves to know exactly what is in place before they hand over a child.

What is in place
Six things, stated plainly
Each of these is a standing arrangement, not an aspiration. If any of them lapses, we would expect a parent to tell us.
Every adult is police-verified
Teachers, drivers, attendants, kitchen staff and contractors. Verification is repeated every three years, and no adult works unsupervised with children before it clears.
A designated safeguarding lead on every campus
Mr. Joseph Mathew leads safeguarding across the school, with a trained deputy at each campus. Any concern raised by a child or parent is logged the same day and reviewed within 48 hours.
Buses tracked, and an attendant on every one
All 68 buses carry GPS and a female attendant. Parents see live location in the portal, and boarding and alighting are scanned against the child's ID.
Cameras in shared spaces, never in private ones
Corridors, gates, grounds and laboratories are monitored. Toilets, changing rooms and counselling rooms are not, and never will be. Footage is retained for 30 days.
A full-time nurse and a doctor on call
Each campus has a staffed medical room. Every child has an annual health check and a medical record parents can see and correct in the portal.
Anti-bullying that names the behaviour
We do not use the word 'ragging' to soften things. Incidents are recorded, both sets of parents are told, and the response escalates on a published scale rather than at a teacher's discretion.
If something goes wrong
The single most useful thing a school can publish about safeguarding is what happens when it fails. Here is ours.
- Any concern — from a child, a parent or a member of staff — is logged the same day it is raised, in a register the safeguarding lead reviews daily.
- The designated safeguarding lead for the campus assesses it within 48 hours and decides whether it is a welfare matter, a discipline matter, or both.
- For anything involving one child harming another, both sets of parents are contacted. Not just the parents of the child who was harmed.
- The response follows a published escalation scale rather than an individual teacher’s discretion, so two identical incidents in different classrooms get the same answer.
- If a parent is unsatisfied with the outcome, the grievance route runs to the Principal and then to the Trust, in writing, with a defined response time at each stage.
Where we do not put cameras
Corridors, gates, grounds, laboratories and buses are monitored. Toilets, changing rooms and the counselling rooms are not, and will not be, regardless of what any incident might seem to justify. A child who cannot find one unobserved room in a building is not safer; they are simply supervised.
