The library crossed 42,000 titles — and half of them are in Telugu or Hindi
A deliberate three-year rebalancing of the collection, driven by what students were actually failing to find.

The four campus libraries now hold 42,140 titles between them. More interesting than the number is the composition: 47% of the collection is now in Telugu or Hindi, up from 19% in 2022.
This was deliberate. In 2022 our librarian, Mrs. Padmaja Rani, started logging every request that came in for a book we did not have. Within a year the pattern was unmistakable — students were asking for regional-language fiction and being turned away.
The rebalancing has had an effect we did not predict. Borrowing among Class 4 to Class 7 students is up 61% over the same period. The children who started borrowing were not, in the main, the children who were already reading in English.
The libraries are open to parents on Saturday mornings, 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, at all four campuses.
