The board year. The timetable tightens, the tutorials become weekly and one-to-one, and past papers become a regular fixture from November. Sport and arts stay on the timetable — we have never been persuaded that removing them improves results.

Learning outcomes
- Sits the CBSE Class 10 board examination or Cambridge IGCSE
- Completes the full prescribed practical programme in all three sciences

- Has a counselled, written plan for Class 11 stream selection

- Social Science field project on a local civic issue
- Peer teaching — every Class 10 student tutors a Class 6 student weekly
Assessment
Three pre-board examinations under full board conditions, continuous unit tests, and the internal assessment components prescribed by the board. Individual target grades are set in June and reviewed monthly.
